PURPOSE:To prevent drop of the low temp. discharge characteristic in the initial period and after preservation by using Li-Al alloy incl. Al in specific weight ratio as negative active substance, and by using trifluoromethane sulfonate lithium as solvent for electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Li-Al alloy incl. Al in 0.1-20.0% by weight is used as active substance for a negative electrode. If trifluoromethane sulfonate lithium is used as solvent for non-aqueous electrolyte, the low temp, discharge characteristic in the initial period is enhanced, but fluorine ions are generated from the solvent during preservation. As the negative electrode consists of Li-Al alloy, the degree of activation is lower than in the case of Li solely, and therefore it is hard to react with fluorine ions. Accordingly production of a film in passive state on the surface of negative electrode is suppressed during preservation, and drop of the discharge characteristic after preservation is suppressed. |
