PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to shorten processing time, save one's time an efforts, reduce errors, control data centrally, and keep track of the conditions of work, by arranging a means to determine a printing process based on information, and a means to process digital data for printing in accordance with the determined process. SOLUTION: When an operator inputs in advance information to handle printing data and an output format, process information 53 is generated in relation to the printing data, real data 55 are automatically processed on the basis of the information. In consequence, a data processing system 11 performs automatically functions that have been performed interactively on a conventional desktop computer, contributing to a shorter processing time, decreased time and efforts, and fewer errors. As control information 51 and real data 55 are controlled centrally within a database 5, which prevents data from getting scattered and lost. Even when data are saved on MO disks, control information 51 tells which MO disk 1 contains the data. |
