The plate (1) has a flat support (2), and an adhesive retro-reflective film (3) on which characters (4) e.g. numbers and letters, are designed. The support has a outer surface (5) with a paint film (6) producing a visual relief effect. The retro-reflective film has an adhesive film (8) on its lower surface for integrating the retro-reflective film with the support, where the retro-reflective film is precut with recesses forming the characters. An independent claim is also included for a method of fabricating a license plate.
