The method involves applying a feed air, which is cleaned, compressed and cooled into a distillation column-system for nitrogen-oxygen separation (12). A fluid product flow (13) extracted from the distillation column system is actuated in a fluid condition at a high pressure and vaporized or pseudo-vaporized under the high pressure. A vaporized product flow is supplied as a pressurized gaseous product (16) of a gas accumulator (19). The high pressure is varied depending on a variable pressure of the gas accumulator. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing a pressurized gaseous product.
