PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish prevention of erroneous operation, reduction of power consumption, and improvement of a discharging characteristic by setting a dielectric constant, porosity, and a glass transition point of a stripe barrier rib provided with a specific line width to the specific values. SOLUTION: A dielectric constant of a barrier rib with a line width of 15-50μm is set to be 4-10, 6-9 desirably, and erroneous discharge via the barrier rib is prevented, while reduction in a softening point of glass and discharge voltage can be carried out. The barrier rib, in which a pitch is set to be 100-250μm (100-160μm, desirably) while a height is set to be 50-170μm (100-170μm, desirably), is excellent in erroneous discharge prevention, strength of the barrier rib, luminance of a panel, and a discharge life. When porosity of the barrier rib is set to be 10% or less (3% or less desirably), prevention of erroneous discharge, retention of adhesion with a substrate, and prevention of reduction in a discharge life and in luminance can be accomplished. Favorably, a glass transition point of a barrier rib material is set to be 430-500 deg.C while its glass softening point is set to be 470-580 deg.C, so that sufficient burning can be carried out and distortion and the like of the barrier rib can be prevented. |
