A polymer composition comprising 1-99 wt.% the following copolymer (A) and 99-1 wt.% the following copolymer (B). The composition, when used as a luminescent material for luminescent elements, can give a luminescent element having high performances including a high luminescent efficiency and an even longer life. Copolymer (A): a copolymer which comprises repeating units (a) and repeating units (b), satisfies the relationship 100>XaA>5 wherein XaA (%) is the proportion of the number of moles of the repeating units (a) to the total number of moles of the repeating units (a) and (b), is fluorescent in a solid state, and has a number-average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene of 103-108. Copolymer (B): a copolymer which comprises repeating units (a) and repeating units (b), satisfies the relationship XaB<=XaA-5 wherein XaB (%) is the proportion of the number of moles of the repeating units (a) to the total number of moles of the repeating units (a) and (b), is fluorescent in a solid state, and has a number-average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene of 103-108. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008 |
