PURPOSE:To provide a cerebral circulatory metabolism-improving agent having a stronger cerebral circulatory metabolism-improving action than when idebenone or vinpocetine is singly used and effective for treating and improving the aftereffects of cerebral infarction, etc., of mammals including human beings by combining the idebenone and the vinpocetine. CONSTITUTION:The agent contains idebenone of formula I and vinpocetine of formula II as active ingredients. The idebenone has an immunostimulative action and a histo-metabolism activating action in an organism and the vinpocetine has an erythrocyte deformation-accelerating action, etc. Both the active ingredients are singly or together mixed with a pharmacologically acceptable additive (e.g., extender or diluent) to provide a suitable medical composition. When the active ingredients are used as the separated compositions, the compositions can be combined. Since both the active ingredients are slightly soluble in water, a dissolution aid is preferably used for preparing aqueous injections. |
