PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that enables a user to accurately obtain a white balance state of a picture being photographed by reducing the difference in white balance between a camera picture and a display picture generated depending upon a lighting environment of photography. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: display means 209 and 210 for letting the user confirm a picture; a camera picture signal processing means 212 for performing signal processing on a video signal; a display image signal processing means 208 for performing signal processing on output signals of the display means; and a control means 211 for controlling the display image signal processing means to correct the white balance of the display image using white balance information on the camera picture during the photography.
