PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multilayer capacitor capable of not only securing high capacity but also realizing an equivalent serial inductance of 250 pH or lower required for use in a broad frequency band. SOLUTION: There are provided a multilayer capacitor in which a dielectric layer and internal electrodes 11, 21,..., for forming electrostatic capacitance are laminated, and the internal electrodes are positioned, in a direction orthogonal to a mounting surface 2, and lead-out electrodes 12, 22 drawn from these internal electrodes are electrically connected to the external electrodes 31, 32. The relation between a distance a between the lead-out electrodes 12, 22 of the facing internal electrodes 11, 21, and distances b<SB>1</SB>and b<SB>2</SB>from the internal electrodes 11, 21 to the mounting surface 2 satisfies 1.64a+(b<SB>1</SB>+b<SB>2</SB>)≤0.85 (where the units of a, b<SB>1</SB>, b<SB>2</SB>are mm).
