A device for protecting SRAM data is provided to prevent the leakage of data stored at an SPAM(Static Random Access Memory) when the SPAM is separated from a system illegally. When an external power unit(240) supplies power, a power switching circuit(211) outputs the power of the external power unit. Otherwise, the power switching circuit outputs the power of a backup battery power unit(250). An SPAM data removing circuit(212) judges whether or not an SPAM(220) is attached and detached according to a connector connection signal. When the illegal separation is recognized according to the setup of a user, the SPAM data removing circuit removes the data stored at the SPAM by grounding the power input terminal(VCC) of the SPAM.
