The first of the two fixture parts (2) has a U-shaped cross-section and encloses a tube, bar or some other enclosable component. The second fixture part (3) works in conjunction with the first to clamp firmly around the tube. The second fixture part is receivable between the paired arms (5, 6) of the first fixture part and works with it so that the two parts move towards one another and the tube, when the arms are activated to clamp together (9, 10). The second fixture part (3), by working between sloping slide surfaces (10, 11) in the fixture parts is moved in towards the enclosing fixture part inner receiving space (16). |
