INSULATING PACKAGING A double-wall container (100) is provided. The container (100) comprises an inner wall (102) and an outer wall (104) attached to the inner wall (102). The inner wall (102) and the outer wall (104) form a gap therebetween. The container (100) further comprises an expanded insulating material (216) that is formed from an expandable insulating material (216) applied between the inner wall (102) and the outer wall (104) to bind the inner wall (102) to the outer wall (104), and exposed to microwave heating to be expanded into the expanded insulating material (216) during manufacture. The expandable insulating material (216) comprises a binder, and expandable microspheres dispersed in the binder. |
