An embodiment of the present invention relates to an electronic mold counter device which uses an optical detection method to automatically count the mold production amount in a set time for higher working efficiency. The mold counter device comprises: a case mounted on a mold and having a shaft through-hole on one side thereof; and a counting unit disposed inside the case to count the number of press-fittings for the mold. The counting unit comprises a shaft which protrudes so as to penetrate the shaft through-hole. The electronic mold counter device comprises: an elastic member designed to be inserted into the case by an elastic force according to the mold press-fitting; an optical detection unit which detects the insertion of the elastic member by irradiating the inserted elastic member with light; and a calculation unit which counts the insertion operation of the detected elastic member as the number of press-fittings for the mold.
