PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an unrequired superior structure from images and to form emphasized images by forming a threshold mask from the data of a low resolution for which source image data are sub-sampled and replacing a data value inside a shifting area for which the mask is extended with a filter- processed value. SOLUTION: An image formation device 47 receives the mask M2 (x, y, z), the mask M4(x, y, z) and image data G3(x, y, z) from an interpolation device 45 and source data G1 from an image gathering device 31 and generates final image data G4. The image formation device 47 defines that a superior feature fills one entire pixel, uses an average pixel intensity μ for a position identified by the mask M2 and assembles the final image data G4. The image formation device 47 uses the image data G3 for the shifting area identified by the mask M4 and uses the source data value G1 without changing it for all the other positions. |
