PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic parts supply method which can improve the availability by preventing a long spell of suspension of an electronic parts mounting device caused by shortage of parts, and its device. SOLUTION: This device possesses a supplier designator 32 for designating a desired supplier out of suppliers 1 and 2, and a supplier controller 31 for compulsively shifting the supplier 2 supplying an electronic part to a specified refuge position when the supplier 1 is designated by this supplier designator 32, and for shifting the designated supplier 1 in standby to a specified part supply position, and the availability can be improved by preventing a long spell of suspension of the electronic parts mounting device caused by the shortage of parts by this constitution.
