Adhesives consist of copolymers of an alkyl acrylate (A) with an alkyl chain of 4 to 12C atoms, and a trifunctional acrylamide monomer (B). (A) constitutes at least 35% (pref. 35 to 85%) and (B) constitutes 10 to 40% of the total polymer. - (B) is pref. a N-3-oxohydrocarbon-substd. acrylamide of formula: R-CO-R-NH-CO-CR"=CH2 (in which R and R" are hydrogen or lower alkyl groups and R' is an ethylene group substd. with lower alkyl groups). The copolymer may also contain 5 to 25% of a third monomer, pref. vinyl acetate and/or acrylonitrile.
