PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability and function expandability of video telephone terminal by displaying an under-calling report when the calling operation of opposite side video telephone equipment is started and displaying an image signal received from the opposite side and communication time when the opposite side video telephony equipment responds to the call. SOLUTION: When a dial input is performed on a call originating picture 62, a dial input confirmation indication 63a is displayed on a call originating picture 63. After the lapse of four seconds from the dial input, the end of dial input is discriminated and the origination of call is requested to a network. When the call originating request is recognized by the network and it is reported that a party is just under calling, the picture is turned to an under-calling picture 64 and an under-calling report picture 64a is displayed. When the party responds during calling, the picture is turned to an under-communication picture 65 and only a communication time induction 65a is displayed. Besides, when call incoming is detected on an ordinary picture 61, the picture is turned to a call incoming picture 66 and a call incoming report indication 66a is performed. Thus, an expanded service function is provided so that the number of inputs to be assigned to real keys or switches can be reduced. |
