<p>An oxygen prodn. process using decomposition of water in an electrolytic cell supplies air to burn the hydrogen produced thus producing more water, which is recycled into the cell. Small loses are made up by regulated flow of suitably prepared water, e.g. mains water purified or distilled in the appts itself. The oxygen is supplied for use, e.g. to increase the oxygen partial pressure in air for breathing. The appts. is esp. suitable for intermittent use in clinical practice without specially trained personnel.</p> |
