The portions contg. an arbitrary moisture degree are moved by a fully automatic method from a loading platform toa lower platform, without distortion or possible sticking to the platform. Dough portions are deposited on register seams on a work table, which is then placed on a lid whilst dowel register pins enter corresponding hoosk in the worktable. After applying slight pressure, the worktable is secured to the inside of the lid, which is then shut, and the dough portions are kept in position by needle pins, above corresponding dishes. Closing of the lid actuates a lifting arm mechanism, enabling pusher pins to force the dough portions from the worktable onto the dishes. Carrier arms fixed to the dishes then make a downward movement thereby depositing the dough portions onto the lower platform.
