1366242 Starch preparations COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 3 May 1972 [7 May 1971] 20632/72 Heading D1P [Also in Division C3] A textile finishing composition comprises an aqueous mixture of from 1-10 per cent by weight of starch or a water-soluble or waterdispersible modified starch, from 0.1 to 1.0 per cent by weight of a water-soluble, ethoxylated, fatty ester of glycerol and from 0.25 to 3 per cent by weight of a polyhydric alcohol. The preferred glycerol derivatives include ethoxylated glycerol trihydroxystearate, glycerol triricinoleate, and especially partially hydrogenated castor oil having from 12-20 moles of oxyethylene groups per mole of the oil. Polyhydric alcohols specified are ethylene and propylene glycols, polyethylene and polypropylene glycols, and glycerol. |
