Bladder catheter - with double-walled end inflatable to funnel after insertion

A catheter, esp. for the introduction in the bladder, has near the distal end of the flexible hose a double wall with a thinner outside section. The annulus formed can be inflated by a channel along the wall of the hose. Once the catheter has been introduced in the bladder through a withdrawable sleeve, the distal end can be inflated to form a funnel, open towards the main bore of the hose. This catheter can be introduced easily and precisely for long-term use in a bladder with a min. of discomfort to the patient. Once inserted it forms a secure and optimum connected to the bladder interior.
