<p>The device which cleans the drive and/or braking surfaces of rails, during travel, is mounted on a wagon coupled to conveyor trains, with friction-wheel drive and/or braking, on overhead or ground-based tracks, esp. in underground mines. The cleaning device consists of cleaning wheels (27), driven in the course of travel, by friction wheels (21) pressed against the drive and/or braking surfaces (8). They are pref. mounted ahead of the friction wheels. Both sets of wheels may be mounted on rocker arms (18), and pressed by spring force, esp. involving helical springs. Reliable cleaning can be effected by compressed air, or similar, without using cleaning fluids.</p> |
