PURPOSE:To prevent the filming of a low-density toner part except a target image part by making the contact pressure of a cleaning brush greater when the target image part is cleaned than when other parts are cleaned. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device consists of a cleaning brush 1, a solenoid 2 for regulating contact pressure, and a brush driving motor 3. The moment or before a target image part 5 meets the cleaning brush 1, the solenoid 2 operates to increase the contact pressure between the brush 1 and a photoreceptor 4, and consequently cleaning performance is improved to remove high-density sticking toner nearly completely. |
