PURPOSE:To obtain a harmoniously embossed ornamental board excellent in three-dimensional effect by a method wherein magnetized particles are held in projected members of an embossing plate so that magnetic adherent bodies are transferred and adhered onto only embossed recesses at the time of embossing. CONSTITUTION:The projected members 2'' are formed integrally on a base plate 1, with the magnetized particles 8'' contained in the projected members 2''. The magnetic adherent - bodies 5 which are colored and capable of being attracted by the magnetism of the particles 8'' are attached to the surfaces of the projected members 2'' by magnetic attraction. The base plate 8'' with the projected members 2'' is brought into contact with the surface of a forming blank 7 for an ornamental board, and the harmonious embossing is conducted by applying heat and pressure, thereby transferring and adhering the magnetic bodies 5 onto only the embossed recesses 6. |
