PURPOSE:To enable press fitting after providing a heat-foamable annular seal with an enough sealing function, by compressively forming the seal to make its thickness slightly less than an annular gap and by thereafter inserting the seal into a case. CONSTITUTION:A seal 26 is compressed before it is inserted. The seal 26 compressed to a thickness t1 smaller than the gap S between a case 10 and a holder 16 is inserted in between an inner guide 32 and an outer guide 30, which direct the seal so that the seal is inserted in between the case and the holder. Since the compression makes the thickness of the seal 26 smaller than the gap S between the case 10 and the holder 16 and stiffens the seal, the insertion is facilitated. |
