PURPOSE:To reduce the capacitor voltage of a brake circuit by providing a middle tap at an inductor provided at the input side of a transistor inverter, and connecting the tap to a control circuit which controls the overvoltage at the time of energizing a power source. CONSTITUTION:A DC power source 11 is applied through an inductor 13 to a push-pull inverterm and AC power is supplied to a load 20. A middle tap 13a is provided at the inductor 13, and a brake circuit 28 which suppress the transient oscillation produced due to the inductance of the inductor 13 and the capacitance of a resonance capacitor 26 at the time of energizing the power source, formed of a diode 29, a capacitor 31, resistors 30, 32 and connected. Accordingly, DC component is contained at the voltage applied to both terminals of the brake circuit 28 to reduce the peak voltage value applied to the capacitor 31, thereby reducing the size of the capacitor 31. |
