The invention relates to a device allowing provision of regular daytime and nighttime heating of residential premises, while allowing during the day for the two cutouts at "peak times". The figure shows an example of embodiment. This device consists principally of a lagged reservoir 4 which is passed through over the whole of its height by a sleeve 6 with large surface area and an opening register 7 controlled by the room thermostat. There is a panel 3 for heating the room air on the front face of the reservoir. The reservoir is filled with water in situ at the end of installation. It is heated by an immersion heater principally using "off-peak" hours. A relay fixed to the bottom of the apparatus allows the schedules of an economical program chosen by the user to be used by virtue of the original electrical circuit diagram. <IMAGE>
