The tiers 4 to 9 of the stand consist of metal frames mounted between the vertical uprights 1, 2 of a gantry support. Each frame can pivot about the axis passing through the pivoting points 10. The widths of the frames are different so that, when they are all oriented horizontally, the part of each frame which is located in front of the front edge of the frame immediately above forms a tier. Each end of the front edge of each frame comprises a leg 11. The rods of two jacks or thrusters 15, 16 are fastened to the small sides of the lowest frame. The bodies of the jacks or thrusters 15, 16 are fastened to the uprights 1, 2 of the gantry support. The lower part of the gantry support is fastened to the framework 12 of a trailer whose wheel axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal plane of the gantry support. <IMAGE>
