PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the lowering of the temperature of a heating roll while restraining maximum power consumption by supplying power to a heat generating source for fixing in accordance with the set value of the maximum power consumption and securing electric energy required to be supplied to the heat generating source for fixing per unit time. SOLUTION: A control means 15 controls the operation of various members in accordance with set information from a user interface device 14. A processing member for controlling power supply to the heater of a fixing device according to a voltage impressing signal controls to vary power supply time per specified unit time in accordance with information on rated power supplied to the image forming device and the set information of the image forming device and also to supply/stop the power supply in every unit time in accordance with a temperature detection signal. Namely, the processing member decides the supplied power to the heater in accordance with the rated power supplied to the image forming device and the setting of the image forming device so as to decide cut-off time in accordance with the supplied power. |
