PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body having high sensitivity and excellent repeating characteristics in the positive and the negative electrifications by using a specific azo compd. as an electric charge generating substance of a photosensitive layer provided on an electroconductive substance. CONSTITUTION:The titled body is provided with the photosensitive layer 20 which disperses the azo compd. of the charge generating substance 3 and a charge transfer substance 5 in a resin binder on an electroconductive substance 1. The photosensitive layer 20 contains at least one kind of the azo compds. having a quarter thiophene structure shown by formula (I) or (II) wherein R1 and R18 are each hydrogen or halogen atom or hydroxyl, alkyl, alkoxy, allyl, aldehyde, acyl, carboxyl, ester, carbamoyl, amino, alkylamino, arylamino, aryl or aralkyl group, N=N-A1 is an azo residual group, N=N-A2-N=N is a diazo residual group. Thus, the titled body having the high sensitivity and the excellent repeating characteristics is obtd. |
