PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation by inserting a conical separator partitioning the reservoir chamber into two spaces and tapered toward an oil outlet into a plunger assembly. CONSTITUTION:A separator 9 partitioning the reservoir chamber 17 into two spaces is inserted into the plunger assembly 5 of a lash adjuster 10. The separator 9 is formed in a conical shape tapered toward an oil outlet 31. Accordingly, air is prevented from being sucked into a hgih-pressure chamber 29, end the operation is stabilized.
