PURPOSE:To aim at prevention of damage of a rim flange etc. by providing a projection on the circumference of a tire side portion so as to make the full width of a tire wider than the width of the rim flange in the tire having the rim flange portion which projects from the side face of the tire under condition that a rim is assembled. CONSTITUTION:In a tire 1 having a rim flange which projects from the side face of the tire under condition that a rim 2 is assembled, a circular or intermittent projection is provided on the circumference of at least one side of a tire side portion. Thereby, the full width T of the tire 1, i.e. the length from the summit of the projection 3 of one side of the side portion to the same of the other side of the side portion, is made to be wider, i.e. larger than the full width of the rim flange R. Namely, the relation of T>R is established. Accordingly, when the tire 1 after assembly of the rim 2 is, for example, conveyed on a roller conveyer or handled on a working bench, the damage of the rim flange, the conveyer and the working bench etc., can be prevented.
