PURPOSE:To enhance the speed-up in a graphic display process by writing segment information which becomes a developed object in a management table in a development process part and selectively processing only the segment in the midst of display based on the management table in a graphic pattern selecting process part. CONSTITUTION:The graphic development process part 4a writes the segment information such as the name of the segment which is actually displayed as the developed object, the position and the size of a rectangle area surrounding the segment and the address on the segment memory 2 of graphic data, etc. In the management table 8 in the process of developing the graphic pattern at the time of displaying graphic pattern. The graphic pattern selecting process part 7a selects an outlined graphic pattern concerning the segment in the midst of display from the information of the management table 8 so as to execute the coordinate transformation of the graphic data and an agreement check only to the selected segment. Thus, the speedup in the graphic pattern selecting process can be enhanced.
