PURPOSE:To satisfactorily develop an electrophotographic sensitive body having no stain, and to facilitate the maintenance by applying a developing bias so that a developing bias closing circuit is not constituted in a place where a liquid developer exists, except the electrophotographic sensitive body and an electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body 13 consists of that which has provided an electrophotographic sensitive layer on a metallic plate supporting body, and when the electrophotographic sensitive body 13 which has been brought to image exposure of a negative comes in under an electrode plate 2 by a pair of feeding rollers 4, 5, a closed circuit of developing bias power source 10 - electrode plate 2 - electrophotographic sensitive body - bias feed piece 11 - developing bias power source 10 is formed, a bias voltage is applied to a photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body 13, and a satisfactory development advances. Also, as for the electrophotographic sensitive body 13, an excessive developer 8 is squeezed by a pair of squeezing rollers 6, 7 and reaches a feed piece 12. Even during this time, the closed circuit is not formed at all in a place where the developer 8 exists, except the electrophotographic sensitive body 13, therefore, staining of toner particles by applying a bias is not generated.
