PURPOSE:To obtain superior picture images under any environmental conditions by using a magnetic toner consisting at least of a binder resin and a magnetic body having specified compd. or a mixture of specified compd. adsorbed thereto, wherein a particle size of the magnetic body is specified. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic toner consists primarily of a binder resin and a magnetic body having a compd. expressed by the formula I or a mixture of the compds. adsorbed thereto. In the formula I, X is =CH2 or =C=O; R is an alkyl or alkenyl group which may contain a 6-24C OH group as substitu ent; n is a real number >=1; m is a real number >=0, and (m+n) is <=30; Further, the magnetic toner contains >=12 % (basing on the number of particles) magnetic toner particles having <=5 mum particles size, >=12% (basing on the number of particles) magnetic toner particles having 8-12.7 mum particle size, and <= 2.0 vol.% magnetic toner particles having >=16 mum particle size, wherein a volume average particle size of the magnetic toner is regulated to 4-10 mum. Thus, a magnetic toner capable of maintaining a stable electric charge under any low humidity environmental conditions is obtd., and picture images having stable reproducibility for fine lines and high resolving power without being influenced by temp. and humidity is obtd. |
