PURPOSE: To provide a spring provided with at least two states of stable equilibrium by bending a pair of elastic strips to be a little apart from each other, and connecting an end part to a molded element. for securing a groove having a specified length and width between these. CONSTITUTION: This two-state spring comprises two elastic strip members 1, and two molded elements 3 provided with arms inclined to each other at an angleγ, and an end part of the elastic strip member 1 is fixed to the molded element 3. The elastic strip members 1 are inclined to each other at an angleγ, and a thrust direction end part of the molded element 3 forms an angleμto a symmetry axis. A groove 2 of a length (a) and a width (b) to decide parameters and characteristics of the spring is formed between adjacent sides of the elastic strip members 1. The spring has two positions to generate stable equilibrium corresponding to a moment M=0.
