Continual monitoring of gas formation in fluidised bed compartment - with result obtd. used to control rate of input of fluidising medium

When an excessive quantity of the fluidising medium is introduced into a fluidised bed compartment, gas bubbles are formed which break surface to throw solid particles at the compartment walls. The novelty is that a measuring device is installed to monitor the formation of gas bubbles and that the value so derived is used to control the rate of input of the fluidising medium. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement facilitates the correct and instant matching of fluidising medium input to gas formation without a human operator or any significant additional energy supply.
