Thermal insulation panels for underside of roof - has panels supported on beams which fit contours of panel edges

The thermally insulating layer is attached to the underside of a roof by panels (1) made from plastics foam. These panels are supported on beams (6) made of steel, aluminium or plastics. The upper part of the beam is formed as a hollow trapezoidal section. The lower part of the beam has a cross-section so formed that one side (3) of the beam fits into the matching edge of the side of a panel which faces the roof ridge whilst the other side of the beam fits in a groove in the side of the adjoining panel.
