The electric egg cooker comprises a housing (11) with a removable cover (13), fitted to a base (12) which has a reception space (19) for an electric heating element and a switching thermostat, with a water pan (14) fitted to the base (12) above the heating element. The heating element comprises a thick-film heating resistance path applied to a carrier (22) attached to the underside of the water pan (14), or directly applied to the underside of the water pan (14).
