The steerable kite has a frame comprising two side bars (1) and transverse struts, and to which a sail and steering strings are attached. The struts are formed by two expansion bars (2) in a cruciform pattern and fixed to the side bars. On the kite centre line is a tension bar (8) secured to the sail (3), and supported from the expansion bars at the point where they cross. ADVANTAGE - Stability, light weight, and can be flown in slight winds.
