PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable sterilizer designed to keep the pressure on the to-be-treated liquor side of a heat exchanger higher than that on the heating or cooling medium side so as not to mix the medium into the to-be-treated liquor. SOLUTION: This sterilizer is so designed that a heating or cooling medium is fed from a medium tank 6 via a pump to the flow channel 2 on the heating or cooling medium side of a heat exchanger 1 and a to-be-treated liquor is fed from a liquor tank 4 via a feed pump 5 to the flow channel 3 on the to-be- treated liquor side of the heat exchanger 1, through the flow channel 3 the liquor, in turn, is fed to the next process, and the liquor is sterilized through a heat transfer plate; wherein the feed pump 7 for the medium is set up on the downstream side, the outlet side of the medium side flow channel. |
