PURPOSE:To shorten the reaction time, facilitate the separation of the product from the catalyst and obtain a rosin ester without corroding the reactor by using a specific catalyst in the production of a rosin ester by reacting a rosin and an alcohol. CONSTITUTION:At least one member selected from the group consisting of tungstic acid, niobic acid, tantalic acid and oxides thereof is used as a catalyst in the production of a rosin ester by reacting a rosin, such as rosin, and an alcohol, such as glycerol. |
