The ski (S) has a support (1) which supports the front end of the ski-boot and fits between the ski-boot sole and the ski (S). This support is of circular form with a radially projecting lug which fits in a recess in the mounting plate (3) of the ski safety binding. The support (1) is held in place by a cable which has one end attached to the ski. The cable passes through a radial hole in the lug and is wound on to a drum inside the support (1). A spiral spring inside the support (1) acts on the drum to maintain the cable tension and hold the support in place. USE - Ski with spring-loaded ski binding. |
