The present invention relates to a method for the bleaching of textile raw material with the aid of organic per-acids and hydrogen peroxide, comprising the steps of: - treating the textile raw material with an aqueous alkaline bleaching liquor, - subsequently impregnating the textile raw material, and - subsequently cold plaiting (laying down) or heating up the textile raw material, which is characterised in that the bleaching liquor contains a bleach activator.
