The bracket is in two sections (1,2) which are fixed together when one is rotated relative to the other. One section (2) is in the form of a flat plate with a shaped aperture (6). The other has two flexible wings (4) which can fit through the aperture and engage with the upper surface of the plate, and two vertical stops (5) which engage with the two ends of the aperture in the locked position. At least one of the bracket's two sections is able to withstand deformations or break when the supported object is subjected to a force which might cause damage to it. ADVANTAGE - Simple and economical, avoiding damage to supported object or the possibility of sharp edges when it breaks.
