The well insulated box body (10) is subdivided by vertical partitions (6), leaving circulation gaps (7) at the foot. The top 25 % of the interior (8) is undivided, giving clear hand access to the contents without raising the lid (11) very high. Access is further improved by chamfering one long edge (9). Temperature rise while the lid is raised is further limited by side barriers (5). The insulated lid (11), resting on a foam seal on the box top, holds dry ice, under an access cover (4), in a central compartment communicating with the box interior through an adjustable rotary or sliding vent (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - For seaside ice-cream vendors, picnics, pleasure boats, etc. Even with frequent opening, temperature is maintained at about -10 deg. C. for several hours.
