In an open-end spinning rotor, provision is made for the fibre-collecting groove to have in relation to the fibres a higher frictional resistance than the fibre-sliding surface. The fibre-collecting groove and fibre-sliding surface are preferably provided with a coating, the coating of the fibre-sliding surface being retreated by means of a smoothing operation.
