Dynamic channel allocation in cellular communications

<p>In the process (100) a subscriber unit initiates a channel allocation request to the base station, which determines the least used one of all the base stations, which then deals with the channel allocation request. Alternatively the subscriber unit can choose the base station with the most suitable allocation potential. During the most suitable base station identification the subscriber unit makes the choice of the most suitable base station according to an acceptable signal strength and min. signal interference. Then the subscriber unit transmits the channel allocation request to the selected base station.</p>
