<p>The present invention relates to a sitting furniture that can be converted into a bed, the bed surfaces thereof being formed by three upholstered units i.e. a main section (16), a middle section (17) and a leg section (18). The proposed upholstered sofa bed comprises a basic part (1) that is provided on its sides with guard rails (3) serving for guiding thereon by means of sliding elements (9) a rear part of a pull-out extension part (2) having a front part (5), a horizontal connecting part (7) and a rear part (24). The pull-out extension part (2) front end is provided with rollers (4) moving on floor, whereby the leg section is mounted in the pull-out extension part (2) in either turn-out and/or pull-out manner. In order to enhance optical impression and for facilitating cleaning beneath the furniture the lower edge (21) of the front part (5) of the pull-out extension part (2) runs at a clearance height (h) equaling to least 7 cm above the floor and the rollers (4) are mounted on the pull-out extension part (2) rearwardly off-set in the extension direction by at least a distance corresponding to double the clearance height (h) between the floor (6) and the front part (5).</p> |
