PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to detect the abnormality of the rectifier of a transformer secondary side even though the primary side current of a transformer can be controlled by the impedance component of the transformer when the rectifying diode of the transformer secondary side is short-circuited. SOLUTION: Respective pulse widths of straight/negative output polarities of an inverter device are measured by a counter means, the difference between counted values of straight/negative output polarities by an arithmetic means 16 is calcurated. When the output of the arithmetic means 16 exceeds preset value corresponding to the allowable value of a difference load characteristic in straight/negative polarities of the inverter output, a second rectifier 6 is discriminated as abnormal.
